FC Neftochimic Burgas 1962 is one of Burgas’s iconic football clubs, founded in 1962 by workers at the construction site of the future Neftochim plant. The “Sheyhovete” (The Oilmen) experienced their most successful era in the 1990s, finishing as Bulgarian league runners-up in the 1996/97 season, winning the PFL Cup twice, and competing in European club tournaments. Today, Neftochimic continues to uphold the green-and-white football tradition of Burgas while placing a strong emphasis on developing its youth academy, where over 200 children train.
